During my reading the letters from our dear readers, some lines touched the right chord of mine, here they go:
The longest distance in the world is not between life and death, but when I am standing in front of you and you don’t know I am your friend. –17-year-old boy from Jiangsu Province
A hug is worth a thousand words. –14-year-old girl from Chengdu, Sichuan Province.
I did some recording in the afternoon. The speaker is from the USA who has been to Chile. What amazed me was he could tell me the misspelt words in Spanish. (What a shame! I only can remember how to speak some words but not writing them.) I remember my Yankee friend once joked with me, he said, "If you understand English and Spanish, the Yankees are gonna love you very much!" I am not sure if every Yankee understands at least one or two Spanish expressions but I am sure nine out of ten Yankees would say Spanish is the most popular foreign language in the world besides English. Puedo hablar un poco de español. Mi casa es su casa. Haha, that’s the only thing I can remember at the moment.
