In the past one hour, my Dad and I completed errands more than I expected. We planned to have my MP3 fixed in the computer center. However, the guy at the store said, "Your type of MP3 has stopped manufacturing. So it may take over 4 months to fix it because some accessories are difficult to find." Gosh, that means I cannot bring my MP3 to travel with me. At this moment, my Dad asked, "Do you have something reliable and nice to recommend?" Yes, Dad got me a new MP3 without hesitation. I kept stopping him from making such a rash decision, "No, please don’t get it. I can wait. I can read if without music on my trip."
"How much is it?" Dad’s already putting his hand in the pocket.
The salesgirl was interrupted by my Dad’s quesition as she’s fluently doing her routine introduction of the new MP3. Gosh, now I have two MP3s. That means my earlier thought of getting an iPod won’t work. But I don’t feel disappointed though. Two MP3s’ prices plus a couple of hundreds are the price of one iPod. What I still need an iPod for if this new MP3 has so many new cool functions. All right, I give in. I’d better save my money for a 20-30G portable hard drive. Well, well, well, I just can’t believe Dad would be so impulsive. And I don’t know I should thank him or blame him. He’s really a darling!
Dad even said, "Don’t just know how to save money, learning how to spend money in the right way makes earning money more meaningful." Oh, my gosh! How would a parent teaches his child to manage finance in this way? Now I have two MP3s, perhaps I should share one with my Dad, let him have fun with the high-tech gimmick. Hope he won’t say I scream like hell when he touches my devices.
The guy packed the MP3 for me and said, "The software we provide has all Chinese instructions. You can follow it to set up in your PC."
Dad said immediately, "Even all the instructions in English is not a problem, let alone all Chinese." I overheard, and patted his shoulder, telling him to give me a break.
I only have one hour lunch break. In this one hour, I got an new MP3 besides having my old one fixed. Wasn’t that amazing? Thanks to my Dad’s rushness, I made my way back on time. And more amazing was, it took me 15min to have lunch and wash my meal box. 15min! I broke the record. Normally, it took me an hour to eat and wash. Now, within 15min, I could do both tasks! This is what happend in the past one hour. What a rush!!!
